From Portasol, you can easily go zip lining, stand-up paddling, kayaking, sailing, horseback riding, mountain biking, fishing, bird watching, and whitewater rafting on Central America’s cleanest river, the Savegre.
Some of the best whale watching in Costa Rica can be had at the nearby Ballena Marine National Park.
And excellent scuba diving and snorkeling at Caño Island is an easy day trip from Portasol.
